YMCA: You Can Teach

UI / UX

The primary goal of this project was to design user-friendly landing pages for the YMCA aimed at attracting and recruiting teachers. The focus was on creating an approachable and intuitive layout that effectively communicates job opportunities and essential information to potential candidates, helping the YMCA address a critical hiring gap.

The YMCA’s Recruitment Campaign website received an award, an Addy presented by the American Advertising Awards, in the Cross-Platform/Consumer Campaign category. This award underscores the design's innovation and effectiveness in engaging and attracting talent for the YMCA across various platforms.

Target Audience Analysis

I began by conducting a thorough analysis of the target audience, understanding their needs, preferences, and pain points. This research informed the design process, ensuring that the landing pages resonate with potential teacher recruits and effectively communicate the YMCA's value proposition.

User Centric Design

The landing pages were designed with a user-centric approach, prioritizing ease of navigation and accessibility. I developed an intuitive layout that allows users to quickly find relevant job postings and access detailed information about each position

Visual Design & Branding

Leveraging my graphic design skills, I crafted a visually appealing interface that aligns with the YMCA’s brand identity. I selected a welcoming color palette, modern typography, and engaging imagery to create a professional yet approachable aesthetic that resonates with the target audience.

Outcome

The newly designed landing pages successfully addressed the YMCA's hiring gap by attracting qualified teacher candidates and enhancing the overall recruitment process. By creating an approachable and informative user experience, the YMCA strengthened its brand presence and effectively communicated its commitment to education and community service.
